Nadia’s Morning Mindfulness Practice

I founded Casa Cura with the intention of sharing knowledge about not just superfood products like matcha but also ways in which you can enrich your life through vibrant healing practices. I consciously chose matcha as our debut product because I believe it can serve as a vessel for both -- a food product that nourishes your body and also a product around which you can create a morning mindfulness practice. I know how challenging it can be to find a few moments for yourself as you move through your busy day. That’s why I think creating a mindfulness practice before the rush of the day starts can be a great reminder to come back to your breath and enjoy this very moment of life.

I wanted to share my morning mindfulness practice with you as a source of inspiration. Feel free to incorporate elements of it that you like and make it your own.

  • I start by playing uplifting music as I get ready. Music is a great source of high vibrations and always works to start my day off on the right foot. 
  • I then practice the ancient Chinese technique of body tapping for a few minutes to get my energy moving and circulation flowing. To me, the effects of body tapping are similar to those you feel after a light workout or stretch. I love this way of gently invigorating my body. 
  • I then follow the Casa Cura morning mindfulness practice centered around the ritual of making matcha. While I drink my matcha, I practice positive visualizations, in which I’ll think of how I want the day to go or something that I’m afraid of and imagine it all going smoothly and with ease. 
  • Ideally, I’ll go for a long walk after, connecting with nature and gathering my thoughts before I head to my desk and start working. 

I would suggest you think about how you want to feel before you start your workday and also be realistic about how much time you have and what your priorities are. If you’re someone who works long hours, prioritizing sleep over a morning walk might be more beneficial. Trust your intuition and play around to see what works and resonates best with you to become your highest self.
