Three things I learned while bringing Casa Cura to life

The idea for Casa Cura came to me at the beginning of the pandemic, in the spring of 2020, when I noticed that people were more reactive than proactive when it came to their health. By November, I had incorporated Casa Cura and on June 24th, 2021 Casa Cura went live. The process to get here was what I had expected -- some days filled with nervousness, others with excitement.

Here are three things I learned before launching:

    1. Embrace your mistakes. I wanted to avoid all mistakes by doing as much research as I could on every topic. Anyone who knows me will tell you: I love to be prepared. I was in motion researching for a long time before I took action. At some point I realized the best way to make my dream of launching Casa Cura come true would be to actually just do it and accept that I was going to make mistakes -- accept that there would be setbacks that were out of my control and that things weren’t going to look exactly as I had imagined.
    2. Leave it to the experts. I’ve been really fortunate to have worked with some extremely talented people who’ve helped me get to launch -- from my brand designer to my web developer, all of the freelancers I’ve met thus far have exceeded my expectations beyond my wildest dreams. Initially I thought I would try to do as much as I could myself -- learn how to build a website, take professional-level photos, and file my own taxes, to name a few things, but I quickly realized that even if I did learn how to make a website, it was highly unlikely that I would be able to do it with the passion and ease of someone who was an expert at it.
    3. Know your why. Throughout the bumps in the road I had to remind myself of why I was doing this. On days where I felt a strong sense of fear of having left a stable career I reminded myself of why I started this business -- to make wellness knowledge and high quality wellness products readily available in a way that is welcoming and authentic. This is what kept me self-motivated to keep going.

Today, as Casa Cura goes live to the public on June 24th, 2021, I’m taking this moment in and doing my best to live in the present. This is truly a pinch-me moment. I hope you love the matcha as much as I do.

Thank you for joining me on the journey, and a warm welcome to your home for vibrant healing.
